Kjac,
Thanks for this great product. I'm been using it for 2 months and it's great. Do you have any plan to make it run as a Windows Service?
Also, will it be possible to download the latest version from this forum?

For the service part, once I finish the mono conditionals I'll try to allow it, its hard to find the db when its a service tho. I suggest TrayIt, nice free app to put the command prompt into the tray.
As for the download, thats "coming soon" (when I get unlazy)

Not sure if this is quite the same as "running as a service" however I have my system setup to run WiRNS "At System Startup" by creating a scheduled task (I run the EXE directly, skipping the BAT file and it works on my Win2k and on my WinXP systems). This causes WiRNS to run on each system reboot, and it runs totally in the background (no DOS window hanging around) so watching the output is a little tricky (most of the time you can simply read the end of WiRNS.log file).
This works for me until kjac has the time to setup WiRNS to run as an official service. Give it a try! _________________ Mark |
