Great site and lots of great info. I posted this in another thread and was directed to post here.. hope someone can answer this..
Was wondering if there was any way to use ReplayTv Tools to seperate out the video and audio portions of a recording done on a ReplayTV 5000 series? I spend a lot of time in my car and would like to use my MP3 juke box to play back audio of shows I record... any ideas on how to do this??
thanks |

I sent you to this forum to read about the tools, not to repost your question. You can easily go to the website and read all about how they work. That's what I did, and I was able to easily set them up to extract the audio with no problems...

I just did a search on the Replay FAQ website, and found a bunch of audio extractor programs. I will have to check on my computer at home and see which one I have been using...

OK, I use Extractor for Mac OS X. Here is its website: http://denisx.dyndns.org/extractor/
I've been very happy with it. If you need something for Windows, I'm sure that you can find a similar application...

| I'm trying to download RTV5KTOOLS and it seems the host server cannot be found. Can anyone tell me an alternate download site? I would like to backup recorded shows from my ReplayTV4040 to dvd. Still running great after 7 years. |
