Howdy All,

There is a new online FAQ for DVArchive. It's organized by topic and has a search feature.

As of today, it has the majority of the questions folks most often ask as well as most of the TROUBLESHOOTING.txt entries in it. As time goes on, it will grow as I intend to add questions I receive on a regular basis as well as tips on new enhancements here as well.

You can read these at the DVArchive home page or jump directly to

the FAQS at http://www.dvarchive.org/dvarchive_faqs

Gerry

I noticed an inconsistency in the on-line FAQ's describing how to store the DVArchive.xml files in a specific location.

In one section of the FAQ's the --store command line argument is followed by the path to the directory where the DVArchive.xml is to be stored.

java -jar DVArchive.jar --store F:\VideoLib

In another section of the FAQ's the --store command line argument is followed by the path to the DVArchive.xml itself. It appear that this is required.

java -jar DVArchive.jar --store F:\VideoLib\DVArchive.xml

Thanks for spotting & reporting this.

This one (witht he XML file) is correct. I'll fix the FAQ next thing.
