Recently I had to rebuild my winxp tower, which I use for IVSM, DVArchive and WiRNS.

So far, I have restored everything except having IVSM 1.0.0.0 (installed 0.9.8.4 and the 0.9.8.4 update .exe). All my replays pass the lhaven ivs tester. However, a requested show does not download via IVSM.

The IVSM 'replay status' page gives errors when I 'rddns lookup' and 'rddns update' stating the replay cannot be contacted.

The poopli 'manage replays' page shows an error for the tower (where I'm requesting the show be sent), and success for my three replay units.

If any have suggestions, that would be appreciated. It may be that I need to figure out how to use WiRNS to receive and send shows if IVSM cannot do those tasks.

Thanks in advance,
Pete

Make sure your firewall is off. Since you rebuilt the XP tower, I'm assuming you re-installed WinXP.

It's been so long since I installed IVSm that I cannot remember a lot about it.

The first real problem was caused by a Netflix tech who advised me to reset the cable modem--distinct from a power cycle. The reset caused a loss of the port permits through the modem. Fortunately, I checked that and found it back to the original state. And I'd backed up the modem so I reloaded the saved configuration. That was critical.

I did get a test clip from Frank to IVSM, so I think I'm good now.

Regards,
Pete

That's good. Glad to hear it.

I had also thought later that it could be port conflict on your computer. I'm also running 3 instances of DVA, WiRNS and IVSm on my system, all on Windows Server 2008. I just bound a separate IP address to each item and then everybody was happy.

Cya later!
