I am having some mysteries with show paths.

I have a number of folders that I keep movies, series, Kids etc. Lately, when I de-select from my Living Room guide, the shows that I previously have enabled still show up. I rebuild the replay guide, but that doesn't help. ALso, some paths when I enable them Don't show up in my selected replay.

This feature has heretofore worked as expected. Ideas?

my show paths have been messed up for a while, I have 5 virtual Replays, 3 real Replays and WiRNS, and in order to get shows to appear in my WiRNS Replay Guide, I have to check the relevant folder under a specific VR. If I check them under WiRNS, nothing happens.

I've had trouble with "WiRNS show paths" for quite awhile now. The check boxes seem to work, but they affect the wrong Replays.

Also, I use DVA but not the "virtual Replay" on it. it used to work OK (I do want to view the WiRNS show list on DVA) recently they stopped until I enabled the "DVA virtual Replay" that I don't want. It still didn't work until I checked the (WiRNS show paths) boxes for "Sue" (a real Replay).

I'm considering removing and re-adding all my Replays. Maybe that'll fix this mess.

Hmm, that could be a clue. I'm not seeing the issue, but I'm not overrun with Replays like some people.

If you guys could do a quick "Export Replays" from the Configuration->Replays screen, there will be 4 new files created in your WiRNS folder. If you email those to me, maybe I can see something.

I saw that thing where I have paths set to one replay, and the shows appeared on another too.

Glenn, PM me your email and I'll shoot those export files to you.

Thanks Rob.

Henry broke this when he changed (or allowed the change of) the sort order of the Replays last year.

I imagine he didn't notice it because he always had all the Show Path boxes checked.

Basically the names of the Replays on the Show Paths page are being displayed in a different order than the data being retrieved, which is sorted by Replay Name. Before Henry's change, the Replays were also always sorted by name.

Anyway, I will endeavor to figure out a solution. There's really nothing wrong with your data, no point in deleting all your Replays.

On the Show Paths page, just re-sort the Replay Names in your head

So, what order do we re-sort them in?

I think by Replay Name (Alphabetically?). I'm seeing if I can figure it out now.

By Replay name left to right, but...

I have posted a fix available via the Updater.

In the Show Paths configuration screen, Replays should now be displayed in case-insensitive alphabetical order regardless of the order chosen in the Replays Configuration screen.

And the check boxes should now correspond to their correct Replays.

Thanks Glenn. I was just coming back to report that the alphabetical order was what was controlling (or messing up depending on your point of view) the shows displayed by the show paths.

Thought I was going nuts.

I can't really speak to that, but it still seems pretty likely.

I remember that fix, and soon afterward I started noticing the problem.

The problem may be fixed now. I tried unchecking a couple of the "Guide" boxes, and they affected the proper Replays. The DVA problem (getting the WiRNS guide on DVA) is OK too.

Ah, ok, yup, I've got that one, and checking Show Paths, I see the column headers have changed, so it all looks good now. Thanks, Glenn.
