| Can Wirns automatically download a sent show without my having to manually go to a Replay unit and accept it? If so, how can I configure it to do so? |

There's an option for that in 'Configuration/IVS'. _________________ --

There's an option for that in 'Administration/IVS'. |
Is that "start d/l queue" If not, please advise. if so, when I open that page, it is empty. Can you please clarify?
BTW, I am Bev (PGT) over at Poopli... |

| He meant Configuration/IVS. Also you need to set up your email in Configuration/Email. Your email account (where the Poopli request email goes) needs to be accessible via POP3 or MAPI (I know google mail has POP3 access, not sure about other free mail services). I think MAPI works with Outlook Express. |

It is not. That. is for transferring shows from a Replay to WiRNS.
The option you want is in 'Configuration/IVS'.

Under Configuration->IVS you check mark "Auto-accept IVS sends". You'd probably want to check mark "Enable IVSTracker" as well. Then, you have to follow the instructions to have WiRNS intercept your IVS transfers by configuring your router to port forward your RTVs IVS port numbers to WiRNS instead of the RTVs.
You do NOT have to do anything with email. WiRNS will know when you have been sent a show and will download it instead of sending it to the designated RTV unit. Which means that in order to watch the received show, you'll have to select the WiRNS RTV from one of your other RTVs...

That's what happened to me when I got a show from Poopli. I'm glad to know that's what was supposed to happen. _________________ --

Henry | OK, configuring email is if you want to have WiRNS automatically SEND shows to people who request them from you on Poopli. |

Henry, where are these instructions? I've looked in the Wiki and searched the forums without success. I currently have my router set up for my 3 RTVs' IVS port numbers - so, am I supposed to edit my router settings by replacing the IP address of each RTV with my WiRNS IP address?
Also, was Space correct by saying that the email config was necessary to automatically SEND requested shows? If not, what IS the email function for?
Thanks,
Scott |

Looking in the IVSmagic forum would probably be the best place. Although, there were instructions posted in this forum when the same capability was added to WiRNS. But, it's as simple as what you said, change the IP address of the porft forwards in your router to the WiRNS IP address instead of the individual RTV IP addresses. In addition, you have to configure WiRNS for IVS Intercept so that it will act as IVSmagic does and proxy the IVS to your RTVs. Then the IVS Tracker will be able to keep track of all of your IVS sends and receives...

Yes, if you want automatic sends, then you can configure WiRNS to read your emails and send the shows automatically...
