I canot see the ReplayTV's with the DVArchive since I started using WiRNS 3.0.
Is there any trick to do it? I did try to stop the WiRNS service while using DVArchive and didn't help:

ERROR: REPLAY_DEVICE:: Unable to fetch details for DVR -- Connection timed out: connect |

First, make sure that your installation of WiRNS is up to date!
Second, if you want DVA to see a guide from WiRNS, then you need to configure WiRNS with the DVA IP address and then you need to go into Show Paths and configure WiRNS to serve guide data to that DVA...

The issue is with my network. Since I did setup the ReplayTV boxes to a manual IP and DNS server pointing to my PC that has the WiRNS 3.0 running, I don't "see" the ReplayTV boxes on my network (that has my router as DNS server).
So, the DVArchive of course cannot see them either.
Is there a way around this? |

You need to setup lease reservations for your ReplayTVs in your DHCP server (router)...

Right now I have the DHCP serving IP's from 100 to 254 and, in the the lower portion (2...99), manually assign IP for couple of PC (including the WiRNS server) and the ReplayTV boxes. I see in the network the PC that have manually set the IP, but not the boxes.
I will try to reserve (I need to manually add the MAC's in the router thou) when I come back from work. |
