Does anyone have the FAQs from dvarchive.org or any other helpful hints otherwise to move a copy of my database to a new PC as the dvarchive.org website is down or gone? I just don't remember what I did to install it in the first place as that was like 13 years ago lol.

Thanks,
Dino

Looks like it just went down end of last year. Here is the last snap from the Wayback:

https://web.archive.org/web/20171203221550/http://www.dvarchive.org/

You can click on the FAQ there.

Hey Admins - can anyone snag that site so that it can be maintained on the same server as PlanetReplay?

-Susan

I want to also add that I think there is one newer version since the latest one there. It is probably attached to a post on this site.

I shut DVA down during a channel guide update that was stuck. Now I can't open DVA. Isn't there a way to delete the latest .xml file to restore to a previous copy or something like that? Which file do I delete?

If I delete DVA TV and it doesn't work how would I restore it? Where does it go? I assume you mean right click and hit delete?

it goes to the recycle bin on the desktop. open it click on dva_tv and click restore. magically goes back where it was.😊

Yes, I thought it would go to recycle but wanted to make sure.

I deleted DVA_TV and it worked! I did have to reinstate the Channel Guide (TV Listings) as it was blank. And I noticed that a new DVA_TV file has been created as of this date and time.

Thanks SO much!

sure, make a copy of all the tv and backup files for ease of reinstalling and
because if u loose the tv files the provider info will be gone forever. wirns only gives guide data from sd. u cant set up the tv guide without it
