I recorded a show yesterday via the WiRNS Channel Guide, and it was the first time I'd ever done that. Then last night I tried looking for it but I couldn't find it in my Replay Guide, but as the show was still recording, I found it in the Channel Guide and it had the red dot indicating that it was recording, so I selected it from there and watched it. But even after I finished watching it, I still can't find it in the Replay Guide. I checked the Replay Guide in WiRNS too and it's not there. I just fired up my Replay again this morning and the show is still there, because we haven't watched anything else yet, but if we were to play another show we'd lose it as I wouldn't be able to select it again.

Any ideas?

I'd try a rebuild guide under the Admin tab. Look at the log after that, to see that the replay that is in question actually had its guide updated.
Weird.
Also. if you have another replay, send that show to it.

While we were re-watching it this morning, the Replay rebooted, so now I have no way of accessing the recording.

I just rebuilt the guide, but I am seeing the following messages in the log...
[6/10/2016 09:28:32] IsReplayAlive(192.168.0.16): couldn't connect
[6/10/2016 09:28:33] IsReplayAlive(192.168.0.21): couldn't connect
[6/10/2016 09:28:34] IsReplayAlive(192.168.0.18): couldn't connect
[6/10/2016 09:28:35] IsReplayAlive(192.168.0.20): couldn't connect

I just used WiRNS's Remote Control to see if I could get a live screen shot of the Replay and I can, so WiRNS can connect to the Replay in question.

Strange,

I had an issue where the is replay alive failed, due to an issue where the replay seemed to go asleep and not respond to the Wirns ping. When I did a replay guide rebuild the connections were reestablished.

On the Wirns main screen, is the replay you're working on showing green guide dates?

I don't see any issue. I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. Did the rebuild ever contact the replay? I'm sure you've already confirmed that the replays are set up correctly under the replay tab. In your log snip, I didn't see your living room IP address, just your dv archive addresses.

Ah right, those are DVA IPs, they couldn't connect to those DVA sessions because I don't have them running, I only fire them up when I need them, and yeah, it connected to 192.168.0.11 lots of times

You may have to request your show on Poopli.

Yeah, I did that right away. The guy who has it is not someone I've gotten shows from before, so will have to wait and see if he responds.

Just in case you're curious, the show is last night's Jimmy Fallon show.

I sure hope your issue was a one time deal. Wirns has been pretty reliable over the years. Some kinks for sure, but a solid system in total.

I will try some more random recordings, just as tests, to see what happens.
