Just discovered Poopli is back. Good work!! I can connect and upload my show list but I have a few questions. BTW I'm using IVSMagic
1) Is it essential I have names for my Replay's? If so how do I enter?
2) Replays show wrong IP addresses, but ports are correct. 73.165.138.149 is correct IP.
3) Poopli says "Can't connect...." but I can update show list.
4) Do I need to modify anything in IVSMagic?

Thanks,
Paul

If you have IVS configured on your Replays, then they already have names and Poopli will figure them out...

That's the information that Poopli is getting from ISN lookups. If the IP addresses are wrong, then for some reason the RDDNS is being updated with the incorrect IP address. You can try the ISN lookups here: http://www.replaytvupgrade.com/ivstest

The "Can't connect" comes from Poopli doing an IVS Test. I get the same error when I try your ISNs as well. The update is coming from your PC and has nothing to do with Poopli's ability to test your Replays. That information from Poopli is purely for your own purpose, not that Poopli does anything with it. If Poopli can't access your Replays for IVS, then it is pretty unlikely that anyone else will be able to either, so you won't be able to share shows...

I made an update to IVSmagic with the "replacement" domain name, but since the orignal domain name is now working, you don't need to download it...

Because Poopli can't successfully query your ISNs, it can't discover your Replay's names. It only uses the Replay's names for informational purposes. Once it is able to successfully access your Replays through IVS, then it will discover your Replay's names. You can find the old help for getting IVS working here: http://www.replaytvupgrade.com/old_poopli_help.htm...

Henry,
Thanks for the taking the time for the detailed explanation, the link to the IVSTest and the sticky on port forwarding. It put me on the path to fixing the problems. My system was working before the Poopli shutdown. My ISP changed my internet IP address from the 68... to the 73... I forgot I closed the IVS ports in my Windows firewall with the Poopli shutdown, opening fixed the "can't connect" problem and I updated the WAN/LAN addresses thru IVSMagic. Good to see all the tools that worked on the old Poopli work on the new.

Fascinating the the "unregistered" Replays still seem to be updating the Poopli servers. Looks like there are many like me who didn't know Poopli was back.

Yep, when the original domain name was renewed and pointed at the new server, that's what happened! I think the expectations were that there would actually be more "unregistered" Replays when the domain name came back, so it was actually a bit disappointing to see how few remained...
