My Model 4504 stopped sending audio to my Denon AV unit. Other DVR's running through Denon are just fine as to audio and video.

I have checked my audio connections over and over but still no audio is produced>

Am I missing something or is this is this a sign the unit is failing?

Maybe hooking your 4504's audio up a different way to check things out? There are two sets of audio outputs, so you should try each of them. And, there's also using the RF output to try hooking to your TV and watching on channel 3 or 4 to see if there's any sound or not...

A final check would be to simply run DVArchive on a computer networked with the 4504 and see if there's any sound when you play a show on your 4504 through DVArchive...

i have had this happen occasionally, and a reboot has solved it. sometimes took 2 reboots. try holding in the power button for 10 sec.
