After yet another Shaw internet outage, I have changed the guide data update sequence slightly.

The update will now try to get the zap2it 'next suggested connect time' first. As with the daily data, it will try this three times at one minute intervals. If that fails, the rest of the guide update is deferred 2 hours for a retry. It'll try that 3 times, then not again until the next day at the same time as the first failure. (More or less 24 hours after the first failure, 18 hours after the last failure).

Prior to this change, it was possible you'd end up with no channel data at all.

Hello,

How do you change it so that it does not attempt to do an update at the "next suggested time". Basically, I don't want it to update at all unless I manually for an update because I occasionally shut off Internet access and it clears out the guide data when it tries to update leaving me with a blank and forcing me to turn on Internet access to get the guide data.

Can this be changed so that it does not delete the database unless it is able to access zap2it? If I shut off the internet and it tries to do an update, it blows away the database by default leaving me with no choice but to turn back on internet access to update the guide
