Does anybody have any recommendation for software for DVD authoring. I am looking for something that can create menus and take the replay or Womble MPEGs and output the Video_TS directory.

Thanks!

I've just authored a bunch of DVDs and am using DVDLab. Works great for menus and chapters. $100.

I've tried all of them, and my favorite is Sony's DVD Architect.

I like it because there's no B.S.; it's not java-based, so it's stable. It doesn't look all bubbly, it doesn't assume you're a moron, it's interface isn't a "wizard" (I hate wizards), it's interface is very intuitive for me, and you can do everything with it.

If that's the kind of thing you're into, I'd say it's the only choice.

It's NOT for beginners or people who aren't software-saavy, I'd say it's for people who use software all the time, and dislike the usual interfaces that tend to accompany DVD-authoring applications.

Replay MPGs of all quality levels have been tested on my machine, the encoding takes a while sometimes, but no other issues.

Hope this helps.

I use the free and very capable GUI for dvd author.

Once you get the hang of it, it can do many advanced things more easily than other programs you must pay for.[/url]
