I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, but for some reason I can't get an EVT file to be created when I import a MPG into DVArchive.
I get the NDX, XLM and MPG files but missing the EVT. How does this get created? I'm using ReVue to generate the files (I think with the RTVTools) |

do I have to run this seperately via the command line? I thought I could do this all within ReVue by telling it where the RTVTOOLS files are located. |

i've never done it from the command line. I thought ReVue handled all that.
If I only have a raw .mpg file, how does on generate the associated files for the Replay 55xx ? The readme for RTVTools doesn't clearly indicate the format for RTVEDIT - at least I can't figure out what its expecting as input. |

actually, my mistake.. if all you have is the raw mpg, you can use rtvconvert to generate the ndx and evt file, then import those files into DVA.
from the command line, just type: | Code: | | rtvconvert source.mpg target.mpg |
just make sure you either copy the rtvconvert.exe to the same location as the mpg, or set a path, or you should be able to use the absolute path in the statement above...such as: | Code: | | rtvconvert d:\folder1\folder2\source.mpg d:\folder3\target.mpg |

I did manage to get it to generate the new mpg, evt, and ndx using ReVue. I guess the xml file is only created when I actually import into DVArchive.
It still ddin't work. I'm guessing there is a problem with my original mpg file.
When I used rtvconvert as you suggested, the mpg file dies at about 18MB, and it displays an error message Unsupported Audio encoding must be MPEG -1 Layer II
When I used reVue it died at about 1GB.
I guess I'll have to play around with some other mpegs to see if its the file I'm using.
Thanks for the info.. |
