I've never succeeded with the ReplayTools. I'm using Replay 5K Tools V4, ReplayTV Toolshell V1.1, Toast 6.0.7, Replay 5080, DVArchive 3.1...

I get a variety of errors: "Unrecognized .ndx file format." when trying to edit; no file produced; bad .evt file, etc. What gives???

I'd really like to be able to chop the commercials out, so I can put two shows on a DVD.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, Jim.

Sometimes it produces a file, but the commercials haven't been cut,
and it's the same length and size as the input file.

The program I've had the most luck with is MPEG Streamclip.

Anybody home?

Thasnks, Jim.

I've had pretty good luck using reVue to edit out commercials.
reVue uses replay TV tools, but provides a visual indication of what will be cut and lets you edit before hand what will be cut.

I don't know what replay TV toolshell is. Maybe that does the same thing?

I have a Macintosh MacOS 10.3. I think ReVue is a PC program...

Any Mac people?

Thanks, Jim

I use the Replay 5K Tools and ReplayTV Toolshell with Mac OS 10.3.8. I don't use DVArchive though, I download the Replay mpegs to the Mac using mReplay version 069H. Works fine for me.
