Not sure if this trouble is new to the WiRNS.1.2.6.24250 release but I just encountered it on both my Win2K and my WinXP WiRNS servers. When WiRNSMon is running the memory usage of WiRNS steadilly creaps higher until my Win2K (the one with less memory) runs out of memory. If WiRNSMon is not running (WiRNS started from a net start command) the same condition does not seem to be happening. Can anyone else confirm this on their own systems?

Right now, my WiRNSMon is running and I am in the middle of an auto guide update. The update started at 11:10am and it is now 12:15pm. WiRNS has only processed 4 days of guide data.

Without the WiRNSMon, yesterday, I did a manual update which took about 25 minutes for 14 days (but never finished the ToDo due to error).

There seems to be something. Good find.

Regards,

Wayne

The 1.2.7Latest zip contained the main wirns.exe and the plugins but no new wirnsmon.exe. I only see the memory going up constantly on the wirns.exe (yes, still with the new 1.2.7 file) if wirnsmor.exe is alro running. Could be a similar problem in wirnsmon.exe that is doing this.

Ryan, I just looked at my memory usage with the new 1.2.8 WiRNS and it looks like some memory leak still exists. If WiRNSMon is NOT running then it seems WiRNS usea and releases memory just fine, but if WiRNSMon is running then the memory just keeps increasing (never releasing the memory) until it uses up all available memory. For the time being i have stopped WiRNSMon and that seems to have quieted the memory trouble for now. Oh, and the extra space in my DataDirect login and password had me going for a few days, but other than that this one seems to be even faster than all previous versions to date!
