ive looked and looked and havent seen clear instructions on getting ppv.
Now i have read that dish may not be available as zap may not be getting the listing from dish. Whether or not it works id like to know the settings and how to set it up. there are three fiels. the top field is a pull down.
Dish network/Direct TV that is pretty self explanitory.
Ive read....(not sure an the validity) the second line should mirror the first.
The final line is time zone or somthing like it. What are valid choices to put here....is there anything else needed to activate this feture/set it up?

Also if someone know a way to get this info from else where or a way to get this listings please post that as well

well i found al lil more info still cant get it to work though. It looks like it was once possible. Does anyone know wheather data direct stopped recieving the ppv listings?

does anyone have any xperiance getting this going? Im thinking im just missing some small step..I have gotten some of the sports package to show...but now the ppv are completely off the list. Any help apreciated

Remember that the PPV listings are for Dishnet only. They are currently provided.
Make sure that your configuration settings are correct. That is most likely the problem. No typos, etc. It must match the provider in your WiRNS config.

Wayne ...looking for dishnet.
Ive tried the DISH net national, as well as local LA
under the settings I pull down DISH Network, Second line typed in just the same, third line ive tried Pacific or Eastern. Still no go. Best ive gotten is some of the sports ppv to show, sometimes the 501-536 disapear of my guide. Is there something im missing? is there a wirns config file? mabe thats what im missin?

Yup.. It's for PRG, but I'd like to get the DTV PPV listings in Wirns. |

Ah.....Im still tryin with wirns to work the ppv dish. It should work from what i read. And ive real alot....100s of messages on wirns. It shows in the command screen that it is fetching the ppv info but still nogo. Ive tried DISH Network, Eastern, last night i even tried rebuilding from scratch after deleting the db. Then I set up zap to national. Set up wirns to hit zap, then ppv and ips. restarted. Then downloaded. Synced the replay. Downloaded like 3 times. changed zip code a few times. Still no ppv. I dont know if im missing a dll? No clue just hopin someone with some wirns Know how sees this and can point me in the right dir.

I was double checking setting tonight and relized that if i goto the chanel guide it doesnt seem to list a provider.
looks like
Provider: Date: 2004-07-07 20:00

Is this feature currently working for anyone? mabe you could let me know the setting you use? or email me your database? and let me know what to choose in the zap2it? I understand if it isnt working but i cant seem to find what im doing wrong if it is working?

I think that PPV guide data for DishNet may be broken. I am back off vacation and it's not working here.

| I've been looking at DishParser and the problem is withe the login URL at the top of the file. I'm trying to get wirns to complie so I can fix it. Not much luck yet. |

I've got Dish PPV working again but I seem to be missing something. The database gets updated with PPV info but wirns errors out when trying to use the html interface or when the replay attempts to update the guide. I grabed the source from sourceforge and i've been having these problems even before making any changes. Does anyone have a "good" copy of the source that compiles without any trouble or inform me of what I'm doing wrong?
For now i'm running the original wirns and one every 24 hours i have a process that shuts down wirns and launches the "fixed" version just to update ppv, then restarts original wirns again. I'll post my results over the next couple of days.
kjac, i'd love to share the source changes I made if you'd like to fix and build it. Also thanks for such a great prog! |

I was wondering if you could put up your "fixed" version of wirns that gets the ppv listings.
I understand that it is not fully working, but I would be willing to do the work-around similar to what you aid in your post.

Where is the source for this? Since it fixes the ppv, I'd like to include it in the latest changes.
